iTunes U an invaluable resource
09.09.11
ITunes U is self-defined as "a powerful distribution system for everything from lectures to language lessons, films to labs, audiobooks to tours," and is probably the most beneficial instrument, both for education and spare time, I've discovered as of late.
There is a massive amount of free downloadable content in this section of Apple's popular software, all of which we all should take advantage.
Personally, I find that these utilities are great as supplementary to class lectures for all levels. Not following your professor's trains of thought? Take a look on iTunes U for relevant information. There are videos and audio podcasts that could be extremely helpful.
An increasing, already large, number of schools have accounts with iTunes U and post tours, lectures, and more.
Even non-college organizations like museums post useful and interesting materials.
You can subscribe to an organization to have iTunes automatically download their posts to your library-- then the materials are yours!
