What foods are better for digestive health?

My stomach is often upset and rather than trying to avoid certain foods (because there seem to be so many of them that it is impossible to identify them all) I am curious to know if there are any foods that are supposed to be good for over-all digestive health, and if so, what are they? I know about yogurt already but is there anything else? Also are there any vitamins that are particularly helpful with this?

(I'm a vegetarian, by the way, but I eat cheese, fish & eggs.


Well, indigestion can be caused by a few things.

First, it could very well be the dairy, fish or eggs. Dairy especially is well known for this.

Other wise, highly cooked and highly processed foods (and spicy etc.) are very difficult to digest and indigestion results. Because they are dead foods and lacking enzymes etc. that allow it to digest properly.

Also, combining foods improperly will cause indigestion, such as eating fruit with other foods. See, different foods require different digestive conditions, so if you eat such foods together, both end up digesting poorly.

Why is there no section for Digestive health?

You've got a section for men's and women's health, optical, dental, alternative, etc. etc > but how come there is no section for digestive health? A lot of people suffer from digestive issues and it seems unfair and a little bias that they would leave that out.
well personally i think the digestive system is just as important as optical, and dental. Its not like its any less important then the ones they already have listed.
