My 3-year-old's pediatrician would like him to eat yogurt for the acidophilus to help with digestion issues. (You don't need the details--trust me!) However, he does not like yogurt (nor ice-cream, nor anything with that type of texture).
Any idea what other foods, especially those that a toddler would like, that have acidophilus in them?
Thanks!
Milk has a good bit of acidophilus, in fact it was a selling point for a dairy in the southest. Have you attempted to disquise the yogurt or ice cream... Making a dish he does like with the yogurt in it? Good luck...never knew a kid that didn't like ice cream though..gotta be tough...

acidophilus?

I am taking medications for blood pressure, thyroid, and various other meds.for osteoarthritis pain.I have heard acidophilus is good for digestion and other problems. Is it okay to take it?
I am sorry that you suffer from osteoarthritis pain. It can be a terrible suffering.
Acidophillus is a safe, natural way to get "good bacteria" or "pro-biotics" in your system. There are very little drug interactions.
The only thing you may want to do is make sure that if you take antibiotics, to take them an hour before or after the acidohpillus, not together. You'd have WW III in your stomach (although you wouldn't feel sick or anything).
I take them everyday, and it gives you consistency, and protects against loose stools.
God Bless you,
Chris
