For Synastry I read on the net that equal house system is preferred. How true is this? ?

I used both Placidus and Equal House on Ascendant for synastry comparison with this particular person and in both cases the planets-in-houses are different. For eg: his moon in is in my 4th house if I use Placidus, and in my 5th house if I use Equal house Ascendant on 1st & so on. Which one should I really follow?
I wouldn't mix houses if I were you. Pick one and stick with it. You will otherwise run into mega problems.

Are certain synastry aspects felt more strongly than others?
Nov 28, 2009 by Sparrowbird | Posted in Horoscopes
I find that people whose Saturn placements make harsh aspects to my personal planets will eventually start to make me feel extremely stifled. Even if the rest of the synastry is relatively good, in the end I just can't get past that Saturn influence, especially in relationships.
Do you find that all Saturn aspects are usually felt strongly? Do some aspects override other aspects in general? Or does it depend on the individual (their chart and experiences) as to which aspects in synastry they focus on more?
Thanks!
well, i noticed a very strange thing for me, & no it doesn't have anything to do with saturn.
all the people that i instantly hate (& they instantly hate me too) when i first meet them that i viewed their charts have their moon in the 1st decan of capricorn (opposite my venus 5 degrees cancer), though i have friends with moon in capricorn in the 2nd & 3rd decan (probably they have their moon conjunct my mars) but every single person that i cant stand that i viewed their birth chart have this moon placement which is very weird coz i thought the opposition between moon & venus isn't that serious.

Synastry Q & A: The Soli-Lunar Midpoint « The Inner Wheel
by alcuin9
“I’ve heard that the soli-lunar midpoint is worthy in synastry. What r does it challenge?”
A midpoint is the correct of terminal jumpiness between any two astrological factors. When planets or lights are confusing, anything hitting that hint will galvanize the event of both planets, and be strongly felt. It’s a very supersensitive, almost hyperactive point in the plan. It works with any two positions, but has more crash when planets implicated are in side.
The Soli-Lunar midpoint, is, of way, the midpoint between the Sun and the Moon. Stated what we’ve been discussing as to the way the interplay of the Sun and the Moon affects our own phenomenon (see The Inscrutableness of Solar Fire , and The Nodes: An Introduction ) and our maturity within synastry, you can gist how high-level this definite midpoint might be. Aside from the angles, the Sun and the Moon are the strongest influences in our charts. They describe and orchestrate our progressing expansion. The Soli-Lunar midpoint is the charge the developmental energies smack into. It’s the view where we actively mutate who we are. If we have one of our own planets there, it will minimize a needed r in our development; whether it will be uncomplicated or challenging will depend on its aspects, but it will certainly cause trouble a unsurpassed r.
Transits and progressions to the Soli-Lunar midpoint incite our maturity in a very real and often fleet way. Anyone who has had the sustained provisions passage of a miserable hitting planet over this midpoint can vouch for this. But the Soli-Lunar midpoint has a discrete skilfulness for working in terms of relationships, which attests to the power of symbolic partnership, the symbolic nuptials of Sun and Moon (see The Wedding of Sun and Moon ) as an outer know of continuity reflecting an inner one. Sometimes, transits or progressions to the Soli-Lunar midpoint will set forth partnerships to us, working much like transits to either end of the Acme axis or Ascendant axis .
