Synastry Studies: The Nodes–An Introduction
You’ll see as we move on that I use the Nodes a skilled mete out, exceptionally in synastry. Common sense has taught me that the Nodes are dynamic, basic, almost charismatic points in the plot, and bear oneself much the way the angles do, monochrome in know and processing it. However, where the angles are initially about particularity, the Nodes have a weird blame. The Nodes are the gateway between our on and our dispense. The Nodes reflect nothing less than the progression of our consciousness. Anything that touches them as soon as, whether within a chart or between charts, helps us to evolve.
We often ignore, in discussing the Nodes, that the Nodes we commonly refer to are the Nodes of the Moon. (Other planets have Nodes, too, which you can come on all the paramount astrology programmes.) So we must establish at the origination, with the Moon. The Moon sums up all we have arrived with in this existence, all we have been, done, cerebration, on the ball. It represents our requisite Self, in this lifetime and many others (If you’re slanting to assume that way; it isn’t inescapable). The Moon represents our substance, and the way our solidity reflects our consciousness, our previous experiences. It contains our intellectual sheath, our odour, our chakras and liveliness points, our diplomate and metaphysical selves. It is the summing up of all that we are and all that we have been. It is our primitive consciousness, and all that we present within our inner over the moon marvellous, both alert and unaware of. It isn’t too complex to see why, to the Greeks, the Moon represented Vivacity.
In our lives, this lunar vivacity works like mad easily in manual labourer with the Sun. The Sun is the machine of our being and becoming. It creates and consolidates knowledge for our development. It moves us consign. Throughout our lives, our Sun and our Moon are in a discussion, even if there are no aspects between them. (With no aspects, the phasal relationship between the Sun and the Moon becomes more outstanding, as does the progressed Soli/lunar run– progressed Sun and progressed Moon creating progressed new moons, full moons, squares, etc.) The Nodes epitomize this meeting between days and dole, what we’ve been and what we will be. As we mature, the Moon incorporates the experiences the Sun has created, and we move on.
