Do you think Astrology has too many rules?
I mean, people say that it's not 100% correct or believable. But if I do something or act in certain way against my natal chart or contradicting the way I 'supposed' to act, the "astrology extremist" will always find a way to justify it. For example, I can be both attached and detached in a relationship at the same time. I have Taurus Sun and Cancer Moon, so I can be extremely attached. But if I feel detached sometimes astrolgy justifies with me having air signs in Venus, Mars, and 7th House.
There are just already too many so called rules so of course there are always ways to justify how I act astrologically speaking. But isn't that the same thing as putting labeled on yourself?
Why can't it be like I acted this way because I have the ultimate FREE CHOICE in the world disregarding astrology potentials? Instead of if my Sun Conjunct Mercury or whatever. Hello? Free choice? This is only written to be our potential not how are we supposed to act. In my opinion, I think thats putting limitation on youself and I do not like that one bit. Sorry to vent. I just don't like having extreme views about anything in general! :)
Btw, Christianity is my religion! But I'm not hating on astrology..it's still a hobby of mine.

Good point :) Astrology does have a lot of rules, but the most I've seen astrologers do is "make exceptions" to those rules. In which case they make astrology even less believable.
I personally consider astrology similar to psychology. You're not always strictly one or the other; it's an entire spectrum and other parts of your personality influence the main part. For example, if you're neurotic in nature, or borderline edging on neurotic, it doesn't make up your personality. A borderline person is not just borderline, they can also be happy-go-lucky (yes, they do go together) or on the contrary, very serious. And so on... personalities are a very complex, intricate web of different characteristics which do or do not go well together and all you can do is try to get those parts of your personality to get along or hope for the best.
I believe the same goes for astrology. The natal chart is a complex, intricate web of layers and little bits of characteristics - pieces of a puzzle that might or might not fit in general, but are forced to fit in your personal case, and all you can do is make them work together or simply hope for the best. It might mean that you're attached one day and detached the other because you're simply still trying to find a middle way between the two pieces of that puzzle that makes up your entire personality astrology-wise. People deal with those characteristics differently depending on the rest of their personality and the surrounding influences, so even to make rules in astrology can only be no more than a guideline on how it should be in perfect conditions and work from there. But you are right; there *are* a lot of rules in astrology.
It doesn't mean you do not have free will though, although I don't really believe in free will. I believe in every person doing exactly what their subconscious tells them to do, and letting that choice be influenced by parts of their conscious personality and surrounding influences to eventually make a decision that changes their life (or even daily decisions like taking the bus or the car today etcetera...) What those people said about your natal charts and putting it as simple as "Taurus sun and Cancer moon are attached, but all your other personal planets in air signs are detached" even though in general it would be true, that would be generalising it too much. You could be very detached with a Taurus sun and Cancer moon, it simply depends on which part of your personality has reached the upper hand or whether or not those two parts have managed to find a middle road or a way to work together.

Although, tactical planning, perseverance, time management etc are some virtues stressed by livelihood planners, Astrology also provides some relief from stress. Astrology links workplace stress with presence of certain planets in the natal chart.
