Who was a social reformer during the 1930's/Depression era. Any history buffs?

Hi All!
I am doing research for a history profile that I have to do. I need a social reformer who major additions to society occurred during 1929-1939. Here are some examples that I CANNOT use because other people already are. Any social reformers you know of would be extremely helpful..Thanks!
