Don't you think it is time for people to become more involved with the need for the freedom of tibet, and the tibeten people?
Especially with the upcoming olympics being held in Bejing?
FREE TIBET!
Umm thanks, but I do worry about Darfur, incase you havent noticed I have made about 7 "questions" that posted an online petition for Darfur.
You should really learn more about the atrocities that happens to Tibetans if you still dont care about them.
Read this. It was part of a qusetion posted a while ago by someone from Tibet! I am a Tibetan And I know what the Communist Chinese has done And doing to Tibet And our Tibetan people inside. Tibet was once an independent country but then China took advantage of our peaceful way of living And brutally attacked And invaded my country in 1949.
over the next 30 Or year so, they destroyed 6000 monasteries And killed tens of thousands of monks, nuns And ordinary Tibs.
More then a million of our people have died as a result of Chinese occupation of Tibet.
Even today, Tibetans inside Tibet are routinely arrested, beaten, tortured, electrocuted And jailed for decades just for speaking out against the Chinese occupation And lack of political And religious freedom Or even displaying a photo of H.H. the Dalai lama.
Tibetans are no threat to China even though they commited genocide And destructions in Tibet.
UNfortunately, many in the world don't know what is Tibet Or what happaned to Tibet.
Hey, stay_fan1.......
I never "Did nothing" so maybe you should learn to read.
I am saying we need to do more.
and do you really have to bash liberals like that, even with a question that had nothing to do with that??!!!!???
Hi!
Well done for raising this issue. Good idea to use the Beijing Olympics as leverage for further awareness raising. Also good to read other people's concerns for other cultures around the world that are being oppressed and persecuted, though It is sad when you highlight one injustice to hear people, instead of helping, say "what about such a group?" Why can't we all work in unison to challenge the bullies and oppressors across the world? Wherever oppression occurs - in a nation or in a household - the oppressors need challenging and the victims supporting.
In my home city this week Muslims and Jews are hosting an event to highlight "ethnic cleansing" against both faith-cultures, while in August faith leaders from around the world will gather for the unveiling of a sculpture that was commissioned in the wake of a Bosnian Muslim father approaching my team to seek help in raising a monument to his murdered son that would also express gratitude to our city for providing the family with refuge and express the importance of all faiths and cultures working together towards harmony.
Thank you and good wishes.

What country is Tibet not free from, and which nationalities are fighting for/against it?

I don't get the whole issue and have never seen a news article that explains it, I feel embarassingly clueless and don't even know where Tibet is located. In India?
Tibet is part of Communist China. The government there prefers to call it the "Xizang Autonomous Region" however.

This is a part of the Tibetan Solidarity Movement organized by the Central Tibetan Administration to draw world attention to the deepening crisis in Tibet.
