I have been doing emergency storage for 3 years now. It saved me when I was out of work, sick ect. Not just for terrioisum which I am very prepard for but for anytime. A person who laughs at someone like me is not going to make it in todays world. Stores do now have more then a 2 week supply of items. Then what ? I stock up on food to last about 6 months or more but its stuff I use everyday so Im not out anything. I just have a little more then normal is all. At least my family will not starve if and when anything happens. I would like to hear from others who are into the emergency preparedness stuff .
The stuff that you expect to last about 6 months will last exactly a week because those who know of your supplies will come an rob you. But even if you manage to protect your supplies, what you gonna do when you run out of them?

The smallest 4 person emergency food rations I have seen is for 3 months (5-year lifespan) and it has a mix of real dehydrated food. (See the 2nd link)
