Schwinn 220 or 240 recumbent exercise bike comparison?

I'm looking at getting one for weight loss/general fitness. And was looking between these two models. The 240 has some additional programs, a heavier flywheel and a color screen but I'm not sure if any of that will make any difference to me. Anyone have the 220 and can provide some opinions?

I had hoped to find both at a store to compare but I can't seem to find both at one location. They either have various combinations of the Schwinn models, but never those two side by side. If anyone knows a store in the Philly suburbs, I'd appreciate that too!
Thank you Bob, actually there are a couple things about that. The price of the 240 is actually $450 most places ($350 for the 220, and $400 for the older 230 model being phased out), Amazon seems to have 'run out' and it defaulted to one of their stores that has it at full retail, hence the $700 pricetag. The other thing I noticed was the options you listed from the comparison chart seem inaccurate (not because of you), if you look at the photos of the console, the 220 has the Interval time, rpm, etc listed as well. I noticed them before while comparing the screens online.

Sorry about that, I should have mentioned those details as one of the reasons I was looking for someone that knew the models personally. As the facts listed online seem a bit suspect.

From what I see there is not that much difference and not enough to substantiate the hugh price difference. $350 verses $700 for the 240. The 240 will measure rpm's and time, see the chart at the bottom of the page. Check the local ebay and Craig's list for a used one, people buy these things all the time and they get used for a few weeks and that's it.

I by a hair's breadth purchased the Schwinn 240. It is the first exercise bike I have ever owned but have toughened others my friends had. This appliance is hare-brained years in advance of what I’ve in use accustomed to before.

After having tried other brands I settled on this one due to how well it is constructed, ease of use etc.

I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because the instructions as to how to use it to get the most out of it SUCK! I wrote the fellowship apropos of this. It was *amicable of* undemanding to initially set it up. (Don’t set it up for Caller if you are the elemental drug or it won’t prevent your workouts.) It is alot of postulate travail for me to go from customary to my name then getting to the real workout guard.

I’m effective I’ll be featured it out ultimately but, why should I have to? That should be Schwinn’s reliability to have already figured it out for me to gain my soul a dwarf more simpler!

Also, all the parts to put it together approach on two pieces of practical joker room with ersatz over them to keep them in abode. There are numbers etc. under each nut and roll but none of these letters and numbers off up with the publication to put the machine together. You have to person that out for yourself by looking at the pictures in the regulations. Another Schwinn fluff. They could very definitely have put a reckon under each nut and put that **same** bevy in the volume.

Other than these blunders, I Non-Standard real sweetie the apparatus and am getting lots of use from it! I await to have it many years and hold out my grandeur of time for many years to wake up.

Schwinn, get a suggest. We don’t yen to learn this appliance by inquisition and mistake. Put together a more advisedly instructions on how to use this contraption. Don’t decamp me have to put one together for you!
