How to do a p90x chin up and pull up exercise with a Resistance band?

i want to start p90x i have only one problem its the chin up exercise i bought a resistance band because i can't put a chin up bar around anywhere in my house including the ones that use the door frame but i don't know how to do the exercise that require the chin up with a resistance band.


All you have to do is buy a door anchor attachment for resistance bands, which you attach over your door. This is how I used my resistance bands during the P90x cycle and it worked great, just make sure the door your using is sturdy and has three hinges. You could get one from like 2-10 dollars, just google it.

What is this piece of exercise equipment called? It's a bar with a coiled spring in the middle?

I found this bar in my dad's closet. I'd say it's pretty old. It's about 3 feet long with a black coiled spring in the middle. You can bend it, and it has a fair bit of resistance. I basically looks like bicycle handle bars. It even has rubber grips on the ends. What would you call this bar, and what kind of exercises can I do with this? Thanks!

Workout of the week: Small Group Functional Fitness Training

Instructor: Glen Marshman, of Boulder, owner and head trainer of the club. Marshman has 35 years of fitness experience, and this is the third club he's owned. What is the workout? Small-group personal training that works out all of your body parts using the "four pillars of human movement:" locomotion, level changes, push-pull and rotation. Most movements also hit the frontal, sagittal and transverse planes of movement. Movements are designed to be functional -- stuff you need to be able to do on a daily basis, like pick things up off the floor.

"You get a big bang for your buck by working so many muscles at the same time: stability, functional movements, core and regular strength, and cardio, as well," Marshman says.

Marshman is also a "stickler on technique and form," because he says the correct positions reduce the chances of getting hurt.
