How to remove the belt on an older model Proform Crosswalk treadmill?

I've got a Proform Crosswalk PFTL70550 treadmill that I got for free: It's 2nd hand, but I've got the manual-- sort of. (I found a BAD pdf copy on the manufacturer's site.)
The problem is, it doesn't explain how to remove the belt or do ANY sort of maintenance to the treadmill. This works OK, tho the belt stops when I step onto it-- the best I can tell is that it would work just fine if i could get it /cleaned/.
It's been sitting in a corner for who knows how long, and there's dust an d hay bits and stuff all over it. I want to pull the belt off, clean it and the deck and everything else I can.
I know it's a lot of work, but it's still cheaper than buying a new one.... I'm pretty confident I can if I can figure out how to get the end caps and side rails off, but I can't find any screws, staples, or anything else at all.
Anyone have any ideas?

I have an older model, and the belt is slipping. Other than that, it's in pretty good shape. I don't own the manual :/ so I don't know how to go about fixing it.
And WTF does this have to do with cars & transportation? Go find a different category to play in
