Has anyone tried using Powerblock dumbells for weights training, and are they any good?
I read a training book that recommended these for weight training at home. They seem a little bulky to me. A 40lb dumbell, which would normally be just a short bar with 2x10lb disks on each end, is about the size of a small esky, like the one I put my lunch in.
And they're an unusual shape. On they other hand they look like they'd be quick to change weight, and relatively inexpensive.
I'd like to hear from someone who's used them before I get a set.
Also, they have several options, like urethane or aluminium, and 2.5 or 5lb step-ups. Which works best?
I tried them and never bought them. My biggest complaint was the size.
