Is the fitness bicycle (static bicycle) efficient if I want to get rid of 15 kilograms in 8 months?

I'm thinking of buying a cheap static bicycle and use it about 1 hour a day, everyday.
Will this combined with a proper diet help me get rid of those 15 kilos in 8 months?
I think yes, becouse when I started riding normal bycicle i lost 5 kilos in 6 weeks and it wasnt dehidratation and im sure becouse I was drinking pretty much watter per day about 5liters. I rided about 30kilos a day sometimes 50 it takes from 40 minutes to 1h 20mins depends on weather and road.The I stoped riding bycicle and at the next week I lost aditional 1kilo, I think it becouse of clean eating, and now I dont rly eating so clean and dont do a cardio now for about 1month and im still keep my weight.
From 85 to 80 but latter i got +1kg maby becouse I started eat more and I workout in gym for mas.
And don't think about "DIET" think about changing your life style forever it's much better, becouse after you leave your diet you will get all your weight back becouse most of writed diets just is werry bad you can even get sick lose lean body mass and after month or two you will retain all weight your weight will be same as it wass but difference will be that you will have bigger bod fat %.
