Back Stretch Machines - Fitness Equipment


Is hanging upside down on a stretch machine bad if your a few weeks pregnant?

I use a gravity machine to stretch for my back. But i'm only a few weeks pregnant? Is that bad?


Why dont you ask your doctor instead of risking getting bad advice from ppl that are not qualified to tell you what to do with your baby.

If Whool shrinks can you stretch it back out?

I made the mistake of machine washing some pretty $$$ whool pants and they shrunk. Is there any way to stretch them back to the normal size?

Short answer - No.

Wool is made from fibres which have little hooked barbs on them. When you wash woollen items in hot water the barbs open up, then the agitation in the washer causes the wool to felt together. So now instead of woollen trousers you have felt ones.

Knitters use this quite often now to make oversized bags which they then felt up to make smaller harder wearing bags.

(The act of shrinking a pre made item is actually called "fulling" but you end up with felt, and fulling doesn't usually make sense to a non-knitter.)
