How accurate are astrology signs?
I never read horoscopes or get into this sort of thing. But a couple days ago I was curious. I've been some what unhappy in my relationship, not because my boyfriend is a bad guy but because I think over time I changed.
Basically, when we disagree it turns into me talking and talking and him just sitting there. Often times he hangs up, wont talk to me, and is very distant. He isn't very expressive of his emotions and doesn't really talk of his dreams and passions. He is Aquarius.
I on the other hand am very passionate, I love friends and family, I want to have a home and children, and am very expressive with my emotions, feelings, and dreams. Being creative is what makes me tick. I am a cancer.
It's not that I don't love him but I somewhat feel like we're just too different. I get annoyed he doesn't seem to have passion or dreams, and when I talked to him about it he says he does he just doesn't talk about it. But after all these years I'm losing my interest in the relationship because I feel he doesn't like trying new things, is content with 'same' and doesn't communicate well. And I feel so detached from him emotionally I feel like we just don't connect. I care about him a lot but I dont know if I can deal with this long term.
There were a couple guys I was crushing on, and though I have no plan on dating them, (as they are committed too) I was just curious about the astrology signs. Both these guys are warm, love to talk, are very involved with family and friends. They have goals and every time I have ever disagreed or unhappy with my friends they have made special effort to having a very complete and through talk about it. Though stubborn, they listen and express their feelings quite well. They are more overall affectionate people in their own friendly way. The type I have been able to talk to for hours, unlike my boyfriend whom even from day 1 hardly talked. (8 years ago I found it to be mysterious and interesting, but not it just annoys me a bit) Well these guys I found were BOTH ... Taurus!
So I read up on astrology signs and compatibilities. I read Cancer and Aquarius are NOT compatible. They are opposites and the only way they can make it work is if they enjoy each others differences. I think Aquariuses could be a good friend to cancer maybe because they do less talking and more listening and probably wouldn't be the kind to blab? Just a thought.
And then I read that Tauruses are GREAT matches with Cancer because they are both about emotion, love, and feelings.
So though I would not date my friends, and just dump my boyfriend because of this it made me wonder how accurate these things are to others.... I'm not sure if i can handle the textbook Aquarius personality much more in my relationship.... it's getting hard.
Astrology is a type of divination or fortune telling. It is ancient, made-up, unproved, and bigoted. The concept that you are programed like a computer at the time of your birth. Which you have no control over.
Fortune tellers with "psychic" ability, like to use props and random causes.
For instance tarot card are a prop to tell fortunes. These were originally made for a card game. Only starting in the early 20th century were these use to "see" the future. Each spread is totally random, none are the same 15 minutes later. Just like if you are playing bridge or poker. The prop astrologers use is your birthday. It is used to not only see your future but to stereotype people.
Your birthday, even your existence are the end results of random events. Really the only unique thing you have is your DNA and that is random as well. Free will also makes astrology pointless.

If it's not science, It's superstition.
